About Caroline Itjen
An experienced hygienist based in New York, Caroline Itjen has been working in the dental field for more than two decades. During this time, she has gained experience in taking digital X rays, completing impressions for bleaching, treatment planning, and soft tissue management. A hardworking and self-motivated individual, she helps patients understand how periodic maintenance visits prevent costly and painful dental problems in the future. Before beginning her career, Caroline Itjen attended New York City Technical College and earned an associate’s degree in dental hygiene.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Itjen loves trying new foods. She especially enjoys seafood and Italian cuisine. She is interested in travel and hopes to visit Germany, Australia, and South Africa at some point. When she has free time, she often reads a variety of books and listens to talk radio. Caroline Itjen is dedicated to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and she regularly rides her bike to the beach and runs on the boardwalk during the summer. In the winter, she practices in yoga and plays indoor tennis. A dedicated supporter of animals, she volunteers as a dog walker for the North Shore Animal League.
